I create unique, handmade works of porcelain, stoneware, and glaze that reflect the history and unity of clay. In my work, you’ll see inspiration from nature, from my Latin American and Mediterranean roots, and from outsider, folk, and botanical art. I often incorporate fiber into my sculptural work.

I began weaving and stitching as a child, and feel most at home with this artistic form. I incorporate natural, vintage, post-consumer, and plant fibers into unique works of visual and tactile art.

I combine paper, fiber, post-consumer materials, paint, and other objects into unique works of contemporary art. Each piece is created on a surface chosen to match its form — wood, metal, canvas. Whenever possible, I used salvaged and recycled material and work to minimize waste.

Like my work with fiber, I grew up making woven and beaded jewelry. To me, jewelry making for others was an expression of friendship and love. I continue this lifelong tradition and bring in unique elements like handmade ceramic beads that I create in the studio.
