I help storytellers get their best ideas out into the world.
I work with independent content creators and organizations to produce stories that reflect who we are and where we’re headed. I am particularly interested in stories that explore humanity, our connection with nature, and the ways we are causing and experiencing climate change.

Storytelling Discovery & Workshops
I design and lead workshops to uncover new stories waiting to be told. Together we explore story archetypes, heroes journeys, and narrative structures. I can work with individual content creators as well as leaders and teams. My workshops are hands-on, rigorous, and fun. Prior to workshops, I also work with teams to gather data and insights that may help inform the workshop goals.
Story Planning & Architecture
Good stories have a plan. They have a strong narrative that builds interest through character, plot, point of view, description, dialogue, setting, pacing, voice, and theme. They follow a structure designed to take the reader or listener on an emotional journey. I work with story creators and teams to plan and draft the architecture of stories. Together we identify a story’s major dramatic question, its structural and stylistic elements, and how it will take readers and listeners on a journey.

Production Planning & Management
I help creators and teams move from story idea or manuscript to completed production. Together, we determine the scope and format of the story, the resources needed to create it (people, budget, assets), and the timeline of production. We put this together into a production plan to guide the process and, if needed, continue on through production to help guide the work.
Story Review & Creative Direction
I review in-progress stories and provide developmental feedback on all story elements: character, plot, point of view, description, dialogue, setting, pacing, voice, and theme. I provide detailed structural and stylistic feedback to help strengthen the effectiveness of your story. I work with content creators of all types: authors, journalists, independent digital producers, and organizational content teams. If needed, I can stay on through the storytelling project to provide ongoing guidance and creative direction.
